Fresh Tamales- Mix, Half Dozen

🌽 Delicious and Worth It!

I ordered the mixed half dozen with half chicken and half pork, and both were really tasty! The tamales were flavorful, fresh, and you could tell they were made with care. They were a little pricey, but honestly, living in Hawaiʻi, I understand the cost and the time and effort that goes into making tamales from scratch.

I definitely didn’t mind paying a little more for something homemade and delicious. I’d order again! ❤️

Only pork tamales were acceptable, but didn’t have much flavor. Masa was too dry for all the tamales.
For the pan dulce: I bought a variety, and without exception they were terrible. Maranitos were very dry and weird tasting. Polveron was too hard to bite. Pan de huevo tasted more like a pound cake and dense. Others tasted terrible. I wasted my money.

The tamales were good! They taste good and satisfy my craving for tamales. However, I will say that the tamales are very heavy on the masa. They contain very little chicken, pork or queso. If they were more balanced I would be more inclined to buy them more often than just from time to time to satisfy a craving.
